Centre Street Church Sports - Volunteers

	Head Coach General Manager Peter Atkins
Peter joined CSC Sports in December 2007 because of his passion for sports and outdoor activities and for the ministry of CSC in Calgary. Since then he has organized a number of sports events for CSC and has been inspired by the vision for CSC Sports to be a dynamic Sports Ministry where people connect with one-another through their sports interests and therein discover Biblical Community. He is excited about the opportunity to continue to serve CSC Sports as Head Coach as it enters a new phase of growth and development. He has seen how the CSC website is a fantastic tool for developing a thriving CSC Sports community, enabling volunteers to organize events and be part of this growing ministry. 	Assistant Head Coach Keith Braun
Keith has been attending CSC for over 17 years and loves it! He has served in several areas of ministry, primarily with Adult Small Group Ministry as a Leader and Coach as well as developing the course Discovering Your Design. Sports and the outdoors have always been a huge passion for Keith so when the opportunity arose to spear-head CSC Sports, he was excited to take on the challenge! Keith's vision for CSC Sports is to be a dynamic Sports Ministry where people connect with one-another through their sports affinities and therein discover Biblical Community! This website is a piece of that vision, creating a tool for Sports Coordinators to share information about their sporting events and help them coordinate the events efficiently. 	Pneuma Guide / Event Coordinator Ang Harder
Angela came from Saskatchewan to pursue her passion for the outdoors through the Outdoor Pursuits program at the U of C. Since she graduated from the program she has become a canoe, river kayak, sea kayak guide and cross country skiing instructor. 	Young Adults Sports Coordinator Christa Burgess
Christa first experienced CSC Sports through "Friday Nights Sports" in 2004, being attracted to the friendliness and openess of the group. She has since joined the Young Adults Sports ministry and is passionate about connecting with people and creating an open group for anyone regardless of whether they attend Centre Street Church or not. 	Event Coordinator Allison
Allison is an avid recreational golfer who has been playing since she was 13. She enjoys playing golf or hitting balls at the range with anyone who is interested in the game. She recently returned to Calgary after completing her studies at the University of Alberta and has attended Centre Street Church since July 2007 We want to welcome Allison to the team! 	Sports Facilitator (Kayaking) Kayak- Brad
Brad is a level 3 River & Sea Kayak instructor and has many years experience on the water including Eventure Training for the British Army. You are in great hands with Brad when you're on the water. 	Event Coordinator / Sports Facilitator Brent
Dr. Brent MacDonald is and outdoor activist keen for any adventure! Some of his favourite activities is Mountain Biking, running and Kite Surfing! Along with being very active, Brent is also an amazing musician! If you can corner him long enough, ask him to pull out the guitar and play.... he's incredible on the strings! 	Sports Facilitator (Slow Pitch) Darrell Botsford
Darrell has been attending Centre Street for over 7 years and is a real sports enthusiast. He has been very involved with slow-pitch on many levels such as a player, coach, and manager. Centre Street opened the door to CCMS for Darrell and he has been blessed with time that he has had over the last 6 years! Slow-pitch has proven to be a ministry to all those involved while on and off the field and he hopes that you will be rewarded with your time spent involved in slow-pitch. 	Pneuma Guide / Volunteer dalisch
The only thing Dave loves more than climbing a snow-covered summit or touring across an icefield is introducing others to the wilder part of the outdoors in the context of community, and giving them the tools to do it safely. Dave is an associate Pneuma guide and has had several years of training and involvement with the Alpine Club of Canada, Alberta Speological Society (Caving), and has ski patrolled with the CSPS. 	Event Coordinator David Schick
David has attended CSC over for 10 years volunteering as a greeter and involved with men’s ministry. He is an avid golfer and loves the outdoors. 	Sports Facilitator (Floor Hockey) Dennis B.
Dennis is a vibrant and energetic person with a love for sports, especially Floor Hockey. He is currently organizing a new floor hockey league. 	Event Coordinator Glenn Rogers
Glenn is the Team Leader of CSC Warriors. This team plays yearly in the Calgary Non-Contact Summer Hockey League. If you have great hockey skills with a competitive spirit you may be a good fit for this level of hockey. Drop Glenn an email if you are interested. 	Pneuma Guide / Event Coordinator Kimberly
Kimberly grew up in Oshawa On and moved to Calgary six years ago. She soon developed a love for the mountains. She grew up playing baseball and has been involved in the CSC softball league for the past two years. She loves hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing and expects to have a great time outdoors through CSC sports. We're all very excited to have Kimberly on the CSC Sports team! 	Event Coordinator Laura Rider
Laura has been attending CSC since June 2006 and enjoys participating with a variety of events at the church. Past event coordination with Impact, assistance with Promiseland and Single Mom's Ministry and ushering since 2008. Laura's passions are organizing and people which is why she is a Special Event Coordinator and Recruiter by profession. She is known for her energy, her openess and her faith. Her recreation life includes canoeing and exploring, cross country skiing, hiking, ice skating-leisurely, board&card games and FRISBEE! 	Pneuma Guide / Event Coordinator Michelle D
Michelle grew up playing in the local mountains and inlets around Vancouver. She moved to Alberta in 2007 to pursue a job at camp, where she taught and lead outdoor activities. Tasha loves to share her love of the mountains with others. She has been volunteering with Pneuma Outdoor Ministries for 3 years and loves every minute of it! Her specialty is hiking to unknown places and coaching beginner climbers up a wall. She is certified by the ACMG for indoor instruction in rock climbing. Pat is an avid Outdoor Enthusiast, Cyclist, Hockey Player, Hiker / Backpacker and absolutely loves nature. She is incredibly vibrant, full of life and a lot of fun to be with. Along with being our Communications Manager / Photo Historian, you're sure to see her and her Husband Dave involved in our various CSC sporting events. 	Pneuma volunteer / trip co-ordinator petra
Petra is looking forward to explore the wilderness, whether skiing, hiking, or canoeing with all of you who sign up on Pneuma trips! 	Event Coordinator Royce Williams
Royce loves being outside and holds Instructor Certs in canoeing, kayaking and sailing. Royce is a teacher with a Christian School and leads the Outdoor Education program. For 13 years, he has also been an Instructor for the British Army Adventure Training Program. Royce feels closest to God outside and enjoys sharing his passion for the outdoors and his love for God with others! We are so excited to have Royce on the CSC Sports Team!
